# FlightDeck vs Turby

The clearest difference is monetization model: Turby at free with in-app purchases against FlightDeck's subscription. Turby also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.6). FlightDeck's advantage is ratings volume (1.1K vs 9) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 9 days). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FlightDeck sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and Turby sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Turby holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FlightDeck has 1.1K ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two.

FlightDeck ships an update every 4 days, Turby every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
