# OnVault vs mdTodo

The clearest difference is update cadence: mdTodo at weekly against OnVault's fortnightly. OnVault's advantage is iOS requirement (15.5 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. OnVault sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and mdTodo sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

OnVault ships an update fortnightly, mdTodo weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
