# Video Teleprompter vs TalkCue

The clearest difference is update cadence: Video Teleprompter at every 2 weeks against TalkCue's monthly. Video Teleprompter also leads on ratings volume (6 vs 1) and iOS requirement (18.0 vs 26.4). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Video Teleprompter sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month and TalkCue sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Video Teleprompter against 5.0 for TalkCue. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Video Teleprompter has 6 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Video Teleprompter ships an update every 2 weeks, TalkCue monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
