# Capybara Walk vs StepCat

The clearest difference is rating: StepCat at 4.8 against Capybara Walk's 4.5. Capybara Walk's advantage is ratings volume (58 vs 4) and update cadence (every 6 days vs every 2 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Capybara Walk sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and StepCat sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

StepCat holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Capybara Walk has 58 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Capybara Walk ships an update every 6 days, StepCat every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 31, 2026.
