# Scrollbook vs Restricted Section

The clearest difference is ads: Restricted Section at none against Scrollbook's shown. Scrollbook's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Scrollbook ships an update every 3 weeks, Restricted Section every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
