# AmiAshi vs Knit Journal

The clearest difference is ads: Knit Journal at none against AmiAshi's shown. AmiAshi's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 3 months) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AmiAshi sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and Knit Journal sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AmiAshi ships an update every 4 days, Knit Journal every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
