# Wind Compass vs WindField

The clearest difference is update cadence: WindField at every 10 days against Wind Compass's every 4 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Wind Compass sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and WindField sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $12.00 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Wind Compass ships an update every 4 months, WindField every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
