# Span vs Event Countdown

The clearest difference is ads: Span at none against Event Countdown's shown. Event Countdown's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 weeks) and device support (3 vs 1). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Span sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Event Countdown sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Span ships an update every 3 weeks, Event Countdown every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and September 13, 2026 respectively.
