# Sidequest vs AdventureQuest

The clearest difference is review sentiment: AdventureQuest at 100% against Sidequest's 18%. AdventureQuest also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.4). Sidequest's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and ratings volume (176 vs 3). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sidequest sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and AdventureQuest sells 15 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AdventureQuest holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sidequest has 176 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 18% of Sidequest's written reviews are positive against 100% of AdventureQuest's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
