# PinkSlips vs ModMap

The clearest difference is update cadence: ModMap at daily against PinkSlips's every 2 weeks. PinkSlips's advantage is monetization model (free vs freemium) and ratings volume (83 vs 5). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PinkSlips sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.00 per month and ModMap sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for PinkSlips against 5.0 for ModMap. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PinkSlips has 83 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 98% of PinkSlips's written reviews are positive against 100% of ModMap's.

PinkSlips ships an update every 2 weeks, ModMap daily. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
