# OBD Diagnostics vs BimmerDash

The clearest difference is update cadence: BimmerDash at every 10 days against OBD Diagnostics's monthly. BimmerDash also leads on iOS requirement (18.6 vs 26.2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. OBD Diagnostics sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and BimmerDash sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

OBD Diagnostics ships an update monthly, BimmerDash every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
