# Screw Unlock vs Water Loop Out

Screw Unlock and Water Loop Out both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 75% of Water Loop Out's written reviews are positive against 44% of Screw Unlock's. Water Loop Out also leads on monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). On price, rating, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Screw Unlock sells 15 one-off in-app purchases and Water Loop Out sells 14 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Screw Unlock holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 657 and 800 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 44% of Screw Unlock's written reviews are positive against 75% of Water Loop Out's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Screw Unlock ships an update every 3 weeks, Water Loop Out fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
