# Nomoads vs uShield

The clearest difference is rating: uShield at 5.0 against Nomoads's 4.4. uShield also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 2 weeks) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). Nomoads's advantage is ratings volume (10 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Nomoads sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and uShield sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

uShield holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Nomoads has 10 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Nomoads ships an update every 2 weeks, uShield weekly. Both last shipped on October 7, 2026.
