# Leero vs Second Reading

The clearest difference is rating: Second Reading at 5.0 against Leero's 4.4. Second Reading also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 5). Leero's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 2 weeks) and ratings volume (10 vs 1). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Leero sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Second Reading asks for nothing beyond the download.

Second Reading holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Leero has 10 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
