# Diction vs Bot Watch

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Bot Watch at none against Diction's 2. Bot Watch also leads on update cadence (daily vs fortnightly). Diction's advantage is ratings volume (21 vs 1) and iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Diction sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Bot Watch asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Diction against 5.0 for Bot Watch. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Diction has 21 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Diction ships an update fortnightly, Bot Watch daily. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
