# Ocean's Wave vs OvateChat

The clearest difference is update cadence: OvateChat at every 3 days against Ocean's Wave's every 3 weeks. OvateChat also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Ocean's Wave ships an update every 3 weeks, OvateChat every 3 days. Both last shipped on October 31, 2026.
