# SmartSize vs PixelPress

The clearest difference is ads: SmartSize at none against PixelPress's shown. PixelPress's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 5 weeks) and iOS requirement (14 vs 18.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SmartSize sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and PixelPress sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SmartSize ships an update every 5 weeks, PixelPress weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
