# Doodle vs Catjong

The clearest difference is ads: Doodle at none against Catjong's shown. Doodle also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs fortnightly). Catjong's advantage is ratings volume (244 vs 1). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Doodle sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Catjong sells 17 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Doodle against 4.9 for Catjong. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Catjong has 244 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 100% of Doodle's written reviews are positive against 97% of Catjong's.

Doodle ships an update every 2 days, Catjong fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
