# Notivx vs Private Notes

The clearest difference is update cadence: Private Notes at monthly against Notivx's every 6 months. Notivx's advantage is iOS requirement (18.5 vs 26.4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Notivx sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $3.99 per month and Private Notes sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Notivx ships an update every 6 months, Private Notes monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
