# Map Memory vs MapDrop

The clearest difference is update cadence: MapDrop at every 2 days against Map Memory's every 3 weeks. MapDrop also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 26.2). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Map Memory sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per month and MapDrop sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Map Memory ships an update every 3 weeks, MapDrop every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
