# A5 Journal vs inkScript

The clearest difference is update cadence: inkScript at every 4 days against A5 Journal's weekly. inkScript also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. A5 Journal sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and inkScript sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
