# A5 Journal vs Moun

The clearest difference is update cadence: Moun at every 2 days against A5 Journal's weekly. A5 Journal's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. A5 Journal sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Moun sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

A5 Journal ships an update weekly, Moun every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
