# Omady vs Zero Cal

The clearest difference is monetization model: Omady at freemium against Zero Cal's subscription. Omady also leads on ratings volume (33 vs 2) and update cadence (every 2 days vs every 5 days). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Omady sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Zero Cal sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Omady against 5.0 for Zero Cal. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Omady has 33 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Omady ships an update every 2 days, Zero Cal every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
