# StepQuest vs Walkfare

The clearest difference is ads: StepQuest at none against Walkfare's shown. StepQuest also leads on iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). Walkfare's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 5 weeks). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. StepQuest sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Walkfare sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

StepQuest ships an update every 5 weeks, Walkfare every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
