Prepare for the BLNST (Basic Law and National Security Law Test) with 700 bilingual practice questions, worked explanations, six illustrated chapters and a 20-question, 30-minute timed mode. BLNST revision involves more than recognising an article number: a question may turn on the institution involved, the person covered or a condition in the wording. Study the main text by topic Work through principles, Central–HKSAR relations, residents' rights and duties, political structure, economic and financial matters, education and social affairs, external affairs and legal interpretation. Categories for locating provisions and recognising article content help you connect each provision to its subject. Keep annexes and documents in view A chapter outlines the three annexes and distinguishes instruments and versions. Use it to organise the material you still need to study, then check the current legal text for wording and conditions. Understand National Security Law structure Questions cover principles, institutions, offences and procedure. The companion chapter helps you separate a responsibility from an institution's function or an offence requirement. In a scenario, identify the provision being tested; similar names do not establish identical powers. Read feedback after each answer Multiple-choice questions include explanations. Compare the explanation with the words in the prompt, especially when two options refer to related institutions or different groups of residents. Check your reasoning even when your choice is correct. Every question is written independently for this app. Six illustrated chapters Start with format and scope, then explore the legal framework, rights and institutions, annexes and instruments, security-law structure and applying provisions to scenarios. Chapters combine their own illustrations with reading steps, key points, common mix-ups and recall checks. Use timed practice for pacing The current mode draws 20 questions for a 30-minute session and shows a result on completion. Its length and timing follow the Civil Service Bureau's published degree/professional-grade format. Use it to rehearse your pacing before test day. Arrangements differ by the academic requirements of the post, so check the relevant recruitment notice before applying. Save questions and revisit mistakes Bookmark a question you want to read again, including one you answered correctly but remain unsure about. The mistake page collects questions you answered incorrectly and lets you retry them. Review the condition or actor you missed before attempting the item again. Progress statistics show which topics still need work. Choose your reading language English and Traditional Chinese are available for the interface, questions and explanations. Set the interface and question language separately: retain familiar controls while practising legal terminology in the other language. Keep learning offline The question bank and notes are bundled in the app, ready from first launch without a content download. Read, practise and review without a connection. Bookmarks, mistakes and answer history stay on your device. Purchases, restoration and advertisements require their respective services. Independent civil service preparation Astera Technology Limited develops and operates this app independently. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Hong Kong Civil Service Bureau or any government department. Questions and notes are study material, not legal advice. They are not past papers, and practice results carry no qualification value. Consult current legislation and recruitment announcements for test scope, eligibility and arrangements. Some features involve in-app purchases or advertisements; available access options appear within the app. Privacy policy: https://asteratek.com/app-privacy Terms of Use (EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
