# SpeechWave vs Puhu

The clearest difference is update cadence: Puhu at every 2 days against SpeechWave's fortnightly. SpeechWave's advantage is iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SpeechWave sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Puhu sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SpeechWave ships an update fortnightly, Puhu every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
