# SlowRead vs MyVoiceBook

The clearest difference is update cadence: MyVoiceBook at every 4 days against SlowRead's every 9 days. SlowRead's advantage is iOS requirement (15.1 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SlowRead sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and MyVoiceBook sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SlowRead ships an update every 9 days, MyVoiceBook every 4 days. Both last shipped on October 31, 2026.
