# DAVE THE DIVER vs Trash Goblin

The clearest difference is monetization model: Trash Goblin at free against DAVE THE DIVER's free with in-app purchases. Trash Goblin also leads on rating (4.5 vs 4.2) and chart position (#172 vs unranked). DAVE THE DIVER's advantage is review sentiment (58% vs 41%). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DAVE THE DIVER sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Trash Goblin sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Trash Goblin holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 332 and 242 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 58% of DAVE THE DIVER's written reviews are positive against 41% of Trash Goblin's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

DAVE THE DIVER ships an update every 4 days, Trash Goblin every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and November 1, 2026 respectively.
