# Exam Study Timer vs Focus

The clearest difference is ads: Exam Study Timer at none against Focus's shown. Exam Study Timer also leads on iOS requirement (16.0 vs 26.1). Focus's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 3 months). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Exam Study Timer sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and Focus sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Exam Study Timer ships an update every 3 months, Focus every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
