# Sentience vs Demagogue

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Sentience at 424 against Demagogue's 5. Sentience also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.6) and iOS requirement (16.6 vs 18.0). Demagogue's advantage is review sentiment (92% vs 77%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sentience sells 16 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month and Demagogue sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Sentience holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sentience has 424 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 77% of Sentience's written reviews are positive against 92% of Demagogue's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Sentience ships an update every 5 days, Demagogue every 6 days. Both last shipped on October 28, 2026.
