# Ancher vs Sol

The clearest difference is update cadence: Ancher at fortnightly against Sol's every 5 weeks. Ancher also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 26.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ancher sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and Sol sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Ancher ships an update fortnightly, Sol every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
