# Tap Troop vs Harbor Rush

The clearest difference is rating: Harbor Rush at 5.0 against Tap Troop's 4.4. Harbor Rush also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 9). Tap Troop's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (66 vs 8). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tap Troop sells 9 one-off in-app purchases. Harbor Rush asks for nothing beyond the download.

Harbor Rush holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tap Troop has 66 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 53% of Tap Troop's written reviews are positive against 50% of Harbor Rush's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly weekly. Both last shipped on November 5, 2026.
