# Block Loop vs Hexa Pixel Smash

The clearest difference is monetization model: Hexa Pixel Smash at free against Block Loop's free with in-app purchases. Hexa Pixel Smash also leads on ratings volume (128 vs 21). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Block Loop sells 11 one-off in-app purchases and Hexa Pixel Smash sells 11 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Block Loop against 4.7 for Hexa Pixel Smash. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hexa Pixel Smash has 128 ratings behind it against 21, so its average is the more settled of the two.
