# Mealchat vs Softstep

The clearest difference is ads: Softstep at none against Mealchat's shown. Softstep also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mealchat sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Softstep sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
