# ACJ vs Cedar

The clearest difference is rating: Cedar at 4.5 against ACJ's 1.5. Cedar also leads on review sentiment (90% vs 50%) and ratings volume (97 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ACJ sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Cedar sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $24.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Cedar holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 1.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cedar has 97 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 50% of ACJ's written reviews are positive against 90% of Cedar's.

ACJ ships an update every 2 weeks, Cedar every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
