# TARS for OpenClaw vs SkillForge

The clearest difference is monetization model: SkillForge at free against TARS for OpenClaw's subscription. SkillForge also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 5 weeks) and device support (4 vs 2). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TARS for OpenClaw sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $1.69 per month and SkillForge sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
