# Piko Chat vs sprout.spot

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Piko Chat at 2.9K against sprout.spot's 165. Piko Chat also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs fortnightly). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Piko Chat sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and sprout.spot sells 7 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Piko Chat against 4.7 for sprout.spot. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Piko Chat has 2.9K ratings behind it against 165, so its average is the more settled of the two.
