# Piko Chat vs Whencee

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Whencee at none against Piko Chat's 11. Whencee also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs every 6 days) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). Piko Chat's advantage is ratings volume (2.6K vs 1). On price, ads and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Piko Chat sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whencee asks for nothing beyond the download.

Whencee holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Piko Chat has 2.6K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Piko Chat ships an update every 6 days, Whencee every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and September 24, 2026 respectively.
