# CheckPrep vs PocketDPE

The clearest difference is rating: CheckPrep at 5.0 against PocketDPE's 4.5. CheckPrep also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs weekly). PocketDPE's advantage is ratings volume (24 vs 4) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 26.2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CheckPrep sells 8 one-off in-app purchases and PocketDPE sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

CheckPrep holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PocketDPE has 24 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

CheckPrep ships an update every 4 days, PocketDPE weekly. Both last shipped on October 31, 2026.
