# AlterEgo vs Noetic

The clearest difference is update cadence: Noetic at every 2 months against AlterEgo's every 6 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AlterEgo sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Noetic sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AlterEgo ships an update every 6 months, Noetic every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 28, 2026.
