# RE Venant vs SpectraWave Recorder

The clearest difference is update cadence: SpectraWave Recorder at every 4 days against RE Venant's fortnightly. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. RE Venant sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and SpectraWave Recorder sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

RE Venant ships an update fortnightly, SpectraWave Recorder every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
