# Aphmau vs FunCam

The clearest difference is rating: FunCam at 5.0 against Aphmau's 4.2. FunCam also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). Aphmau's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (5 vs 1). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Aphmau sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and FunCam sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

FunCam holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Aphmau has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Aphmau ships an update every 2 months, FunCam every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 31, 2026.
