# PosterMap vs Pocketmux

The clearest difference is ads: Pocketmux at none against PosterMap's shown. PosterMap's advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs monthly). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PosterMap sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Pocketmux sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PosterMap ships an update every 9 days, Pocketmux monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
