# Npp vs RemoteCode

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Npp at none against RemoteCode's 1. Npp also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.0). RemoteCode's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 2 weeks). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. RemoteCode sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per month. Npp asks for nothing beyond the download.

Npp ships an update every 2 weeks, RemoteCode every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and September 28, 2026 respectively.
