# Solstix vs Weather Goose

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Weather Goose at 30 against Solstix's 3. On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Solstix sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Weather Goose sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Solstix against 4.9 for Weather Goose. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Weather Goose has 30 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 100% of Solstix's written reviews are positive against 96% of Weather Goose's.

Solstix ships an update every 3 days, Weather Goose every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
