# NoteRider vs Clef

The clearest difference is update cadence: Clef at every 3 days against NoteRider's monthly. NoteRider's advantage is iOS requirement (15.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NoteRider sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Clef sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

NoteRider ships an update monthly, Clef every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
