# Pokodex vs Dex

The clearest difference is ads: Dex at none against Pokodex's shown. Pokodex's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks) and iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pokodex sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and Dex sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Pokodex ships an update weekly, Dex every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
