# Unrush vs Open Transcription

The clearest difference is update cadence: Open Transcription at every 5 days against Unrush's every 3 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Unrush sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Open Transcription sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Unrush ships an update every 3 months, Open Transcription every 5 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
