# Start My Test vs Brainfold

The clearest difference is update cadence: Start My Test at fortnightly against Brainfold's every 2 months. Start My Test also leads on iOS requirement (16.3 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Start My Test sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Brainfold sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Start My Test ships an update fortnightly, Brainfold every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
