# LuneVPN vs RivoVPN

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: RivoVPN at none against LuneVPN's 3. RivoVPN also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 weeks) and ratings volume (41 vs 8). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. LuneVPN sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. RivoVPN asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for LuneVPN against 4.8 for RivoVPN. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RivoVPN has 41 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two.
